you remind me of the babe...

What babe?

The babe with the power.

What power?

The power of Voodoo.

Who do?

You do.

Sam and I just watched Labyrinth. Such a fabulous movie. I was so sad when Jim Henson died... I'd always dreamed of working with him someday on all those fabulous beasties.

Sam loved it. Especially the orange monkey dudes who throw their heads and body parts around, and the Escher stairway sequence.

God, I remember when I was a silly teenage girl(eons ago) and I thought Bowie was SOOOOO cool and sexy with his sparkly leather outfits and wicked kinky smile.

I'm still a sucker for a well-cocked eyebrow.

Oo, I love that movie, and it started my big Bowie-crush. He could pull of ANY ridiculous ensemble and still be mad-sexy. He was even hot with a pink mullet -- only the most insanely attractive man can claim that! I've been on a big "Life On Mars?" kick lately, listening to that song over and over again.

Totally. The man just had all kindsa sexy spilling out all over the place-yet reigned in with magical precision.

Sheesh, I think I missed the mullet-probably for the best, even though I'm sure you're right. If anyone could pull it off, it'd be him.

Besides all he'd have to do is sing to me and I'd be all: "mullet, what mullet?"

I'm a sucker for a serenade.

Hi! I've decided to stop lurking and comment finally. I found your little realm via Sagbottom a while back. You do really neat artwork!

Tyler (my husband) made me watch Labyrinth recently, too-- I don't know how it is I'd never seen it before. I loved it! (And ditto for the love of Jim Henson... sigh.) Although, I must confess I found David Bowie's pants extremely distracting. Ahem. I didn't think bulges like that were allowed in kids' movies. ;)

hurray for lurkers unlurking! I loves me some comments...

Thanks, it's so nice to share art with people. I'm always glad to hear that people like it.

heehee. Yeah, Bowie really sort of did the ballet dancer thing with the tight tights and the crazy leather n sequins jackety things... But he's still just such a sexpot I almost can't stand it!

:)

Have you seen The Dark Crystal? Another wonderful Henson film.
